The Artique apartments have been designed on two existing blocks in Campbell. There were many constraints on the block, including existing trees, existing driveways, neighbours concerns and the slope of the block.
The design of 12 apartments is divided by the driveway; 4 on one side and 8 on the other. The buildings were designed with basement car parking and two storeys above.
The design of the apartments was to craft a living environment for people who lived and worked in the area. Campbell shops with its coffee shops and restaurants are in close proximity to the apartments.
We have designed one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments to cater for a variety of people.
The design of the building was to create a palette of materials achieving an interesting streetscape but also defining each apartment, allowing the owners to have a sense of ownership in the building.
The use of alucobond and cedar and render creates a modern building but still allows it to relate to its neighbours.
The use of louvers to protect from the northern and western sun is used extensively throughout the project.
Water tanks are used to capture rain water and dispense through the garden.
Double glazing has been used extensively through the building for comfort.
All ground floor apartments have gardens to the front and rear allowing for a certain amount of privacy. There is a common garden for all to use which helps to create a community feel to the overall development.
The apartments have been built with a great emphasis on detail and no expense has been spared to create an individual apartment complex.
The overall development has been designed to compliment the streetscape. We thank all who were involved in this exceptional development.
