Howarth - Campbell

The house was designed to face north with all living areas and main bedroom taking advantage of the sunny aspect. This home achieved a five star energy rating.

The home is quite minimalist inside and out, but every small detail within the home has been considered. The result is a superbly finished home with quality inclusions. Bulkheads allow for curtain tracks to be concealed, a large skylight in the entry frames the large tree canopy outside, and all joinery has been custom made a built in. The deep eaves over the front terrace and BBQ area are finished in stunning timber which ‘dresses up’ the spaces.

Externally, the home is simple, the neutral colour of the walls offsets the deep cedar windows and the surrounding gardens. A double corbel was added to allow for the scaling of the facade. The fenestrations have been designed to create a visual link from the internal rooms to the gardens around the home, but also allow for maximum solar gain.
