This house was designed for a very steep site at the top of Campbell. The brief from the client was to have the entrance to the house on street level and to take full advantage of the magnificent views over the city and surrounding Campbell.
It was important that the home addressed the views to the front also, and the parkland opposite with a variety of gum trees and native fauna.
I believed very strongly that the views available had to become part of this home and this became the key consideration during the design process.
The view to the back is captured from most rooms in the house. To achieve this, the layout of the home was made very open plan with separate zones which meld into one another allowing vision through the home and to available the views.
